Sasha Rose Schick (BFA in Dance, University of Arizona), is originally from Racine, Wisconsin, where she began her dance training at Dance Arts Center, under the direction of Danelle Davies and Cameron Mathe. She is in her first season as a company member with Giordano II. She joined the company in 2026 after graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Arizona, where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a minor in Business Administration. During her time at the University of Arizona, Sasha performed works by choreographers including Elizabeth George, Gianni Howell, Sarah Lisette Chiesa, and Marquez Johnson, as well as masterworks originally choreographed by Martha Graham and Bill T. Jones. She has also performed professionally as a guest artist and participated in intensive programs with SoulEscape the Company and Nova Linea Contemporary Dance.

Sasha’s training spans ballet, modern, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, and tap, allowing her to approach movement with versatility and curiosity. Her training has included working with artists such as Christopher Compton, Lorin Mathis, Masha Maddux, Tamara Dyke Compton, Sarah Lisette Chiesa, Thang Dao, Trent Williams, Samuel Watson, and Gianni Howell. She was selected as a Giordano Dance Chicago Mentee in 2025 and is a Certified Giordano Technique Instructor in Basic, Beginning, and Intermediate levels, further deepening her connection to the Giordano tradition and its approach to jazz dance.

Sasha is honored to begin her professional career with Giordano Dance Chicago and looks forward to continuing to grow as an artist, educator, and collaborator while contributing her own perspective to the company’s legacy of innovation and excellence.
