Ava Geske is originally from Zionsville, Indiana, where she began her dance training at Expressenz Dance Center. She recently graduated from Southern Methodist University’s Meadows School of the Arts in May 2026 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance.

During her time at SMU, Ava performed works by choreographers including Michelle N. Gibson, Brandi Coleman, Robert Battle, Carlos Jones, Carter Alexander, Crystal Frazier, Stephanie Martinez, Alvon Reed, Sekou Miller, Kimberly Cooper, and Adam Houghland. Her performance experience includes featured and soloist roles in works presented through SMU’s Fall and Spring Hope Shows, as well as Meadows at the Winspear. She has had the opportunity to train at intensive programs with Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Limón Dance Company, and Paul Taylor Dance Company where she again studied under the direction of Robert Battle. Ava has also performed professionally as a featured contract dancer with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, performed in the Trentino Music Festival in Italy, and auditioned for Season 14 of America’s Got Talent with NZ Dance Company. Ava is so excited to begin her professional career, bringing her versatility and curiosity to every opportunity. She looks forward to continuing to grow as an artist, collaborator, and performer in her first season with Giordano Dance Chicago!
