A Giordano show is always a multi-layered display of art and entertainment, not so much defying barriers and boundaries as transcending them.

Adam Houston
Adam Houston, a Main Company Member from Boone, Iowa, is currently celebrating his thirteenth season with Giordano Dance Chicago. He is a proud graduate of the University of Arizona’s School of Dance, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, graduating Magna Cum Laude and receiving the "Outstanding Senior" award.
Throughout his tenure at GDC, Adam has originated and performed principal roles across the company’s repertoire. His versatility and artistry have brought to life works by esteemed choreographers including Al Blackstone, Peter Chu, Marinda Davis, Gus Giordano, Nan Giordano, Ray Leeper and Liz Imperio. Among his many career highlights, one of the most meaningful was performing as the male soloist in "Can’t Take This Away", a signature piece by Randy Duncan and a personal favorite of Gus Giordano.
Beyond performing, Adam is in his fifth season as Rehearsal Captain, where he plays a vital role in teaching, staging repertoire, and supporting the Artistic Staff. He also serves as GDC’s first-ever Development Coordinator, collaborating closely with Nan Giordano and Erica Lynette Edwards to strengthen fundraising and donor engagement efforts.
Adam's commitment to the organization extends into education and community engagement. He has served as Costume Manager for several years and was actively involved in GDC’s Jazz Dance/Science & Health program, which brings dance education into Chicago Public Schools.
A highly regarded teacher and choreographer, Adam has completed all five levels of the Nan Giordano Certification Program®. His choreography has been featured by several award-winning schools, with seven pieces created for Giordano II, and two works—'All for You' and 'unconditional'—premiered by the Main Company of GDC.
Now in his thirteenth season, Adam remains deeply honored to be a part of Giordano Dance Chicago, continuing to live his dream and share his passion for dance with audiences and students alike.
