Audition will consist of repertoire phrases, improvisation, and partnering.

AUDITION INFORMATION

Applicants must be versatile in various genres of dance and have a strong background in ballet/jazz technique and partnering skills. GDC is seeking dancers to perform male and female roles. Must be willing to relocate to Chicago, IL. Contracts for GDC's 62nd season begin July 2024 through June 2025. All positions are paid.

Giordano Dance Chicago (GDC) is an iconic cultural institution with deep roots in Chicago and around the globe. From its origins in founder Gus Giordano’s original school in Evanston, Ill, to its current incarnation as a Chicago-based world-class dance company, GDC boasts more than a half century of worldwide performances (28 countries, 47 states, more than 1300 cities). Entering her 39th season, Nan Giordano has led the company as Artistic Director, responsible for commissioning innovative choreographic works and mentoring thousands of aspiring dancers. The company is one of few in the world that has a foundational technique (NGCP©) with certified teachers in 36 states and 8 countries.
