Giordano Dance Chicago is seeking a male dancer for a position with Giordano II for our 60th Anniversary Season (2022-2023).  Dancers should be stylistically versatile with a strong technical background and a collaborative spirit. GDC celebrates and honors the rich diversity of the art form of American jazz dance, and we encourage dance artists of all backgrounds to apply.  Applicants must be 21 years of age by the date of the audition and lawfully able to work in the U.S.  All positions with Giordano Dance Chicago and Giordano II are paid.

In 60 years Giordano Dance Chicago has commissioned a vast repertoire of more than 175 original works, mentored new and emerging choreographers, and commissioned innumerable musical scores and production designs.

Applicants should complete the form found below. The form will ask for contact information as well as training history, three references, headshot, resumé and links to videos of the applicant dancing.  


Videos should clearly identify the applicant and should be no longer than five minutes. Clear, in-studio footage that shows a range of movement styles is preferred but not required. It is strongly encouraged that at least one clip demonstrate jazz dance proficiency.


Registration deadline is July 7, 2022.  Invitations to attend the July 20 audition will be communicated by end of day Wednesday, July 13.
