ZACHARY HELLER

Zachary Heller, a main company member from Alexandria, Virginia, retired in his illustrious fourteenth and final season with Giordano Dance Chicago this October 2021. He remains close with the company and is participating behind the scenes as the first Dancer Emeritus. Zach graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Arizona with a BFA in Dance. Throughout his career he has performed works by choreographers such as Gus Giordano, Mia Michaels, Peter Chu, Frank Chaves, Marinda Davis, Ray Leeper, Randy Duncan, and many others. Zach was the Grishko Outstanding Male Dancer at the Prague International Dance Festival in 2003. He has been on faculty for American College Dance Association, as well as dance conventions such as Grand Prix International, The Star Dance Alliance’s PowerPak and Studio Invasion Tour, and WILD Intensive. Zach has held teaching seminars under the Israeli department of education, and teaches and choreographs for studios and youth companies in the Chicago area and throughout the U.S. He is certified through the Intermediate Level of the Nan Giordano Certification Program®.
