A Giordano show is always a multi-layered display of art and entertainment, not so much defying barriers and boundaries as transcending them.

NAN GIORDANO DAY OF GIVING

Former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel officially proclaimed June 9, 2018, as “Nan Giordano Day” in celebration of her decades of impact on the City of Chicago, the art form of American jazz dance, and the dance company that bears her and her father’s name. However, when there is so much to celebrate – specifically, Nan’s 37 years as Artistic Director of Giordano Dance Chicago – why limit ourselves to just one day?
Therefore, Giordano Dance Chicago is pleased to announce the launch of “Nan Giordano 37 Days of Giving”, beginning today, Thursday, June 9, and ending Friday, July 15.
Most excitingly, these 37 days of festivity capture the close of Giordano Dance Chicago’s 59th Season and the onset of our milestone 60th Anniversary Season, July 1, 2022. We remain one of the few concert jazz dance companies and one of the longest-running dance organizations in the world. Such a significant and rare accomplishment.
We ask most sincerely if you are able and so inclined, to consider making a donation of any amount in support of Nan and our world-class dancers. To help us meet our goal of raising $37,000 and in honor of Nan’s 37 years leading GDC, a steadfast supporter has pledged a dollar-for-dollar, one-to-one match for the first $10,000 raised. This individual’s kindness helps double the impact of your donation!
Please note Giordano Dance Chicago, the Giordano Legacy Fund, and the Nan Giordano Certification Program® are in no way affiliated with the
Gus Giordano Dance School in Andersonville or the Gus Giordano Jazz Legacy Foundation.
