Ray Leeper

Ray’s work as a choreographer and creative director
spans the spectrum from television, movies, and commercials, to
Off-Broadway shows and music videos. He has choreographed
and appeared on camera for multiple seasons of So You Think
You Can Dance, Dancing With The Stars, The Masked Singer,
American Idol, America’s Got Talent, Big Bang Theory, X-Factor
UK, and as the Movement Expert on VH-1s Clash of the Cover
Bands.

His long career has included working with such artists as Cher, Elton John, Billy Porter,
Nick Cannon, Channing Tatum, Matthew Morrison, Kelly Rowland, Natalie Imbruglia,
LaVerne Cox, Little Mix, Snoop Dogg, Nile Rodgers, Kathryn Jenkins, Jackie Evancho,
Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Mira Sorvino, Geri Halliwell and Il DIVO. Additional choreography and
Creative Director and Director credits include Franco Dragone’s INDIA and One Love;
iLUMINATE at Planet Hollywood and The Stratt, Las Vegas; Simon Hammerstein’s The Act
at The Palazzo in Las Vegas and The Box NYC, as well as tours for So You Think You Can
Dance, Matthew Morrison’s Where It All Began tour, Il DIVO on Broadway and world
tour, the NKOTB/BSB tour, and the X-Factor European Tour. He has also collected a vast of
commercial credits including: Pepsi, Levi’s, Crystal Light, Sierra Mist, X-Finity, and Gagaville,
just to name a few. New York Theatre Credits include: Inappropriate The Musical, Director/
Choreographer; One Day, Director/Choreographer; Common Grounds, Choreographer
(Best Choreography Award, NYMTF); Fashion Meets Broadway, VH1/Studio 54,
Choreographer.

Ray’s history with the Giordano legacy began at the early age of 12, when he took his
very first class from Gus Giordano. Since then, he was the recipient of the Gold Leo Award
at the Jazz Dance World Congress Choreography competition, and was privileged to
become Faculty for the Congress. 2024 marks Ray’s tenth anniversary choreographing for
Giordano Dance Chicago, and he thrilled and honored to be presenting his third work for
the company.
